web site lost – any backup?
-
For 20 years I’ve used WP on my Dreamhost site and they recently lost my entire web site! I thought I had 3 backups via Dreamhost, WP and a plugin on my website. Does WP have any history/backup of my http://www.techsoln.com web site? It’s my entire public face to mt consulting business. Thanks —- Jon

Hi there!
I’m sorry to hear that! Unfortunately, because Dreamhost is a different company, we don’t have any backups of your site. Have you contacted them to see if they have a backup of their servers? They might have one.
While we can’t, unfortunately, help with the backups, I would suggest considering Jetpack Backup for your site going forward. It will take automatic backups regularly with the option to restore to an earlier version with the click of a button.
You can also consider moving your site to WordPress.com. Since your site has plugins, the WordPress.com Business plan will be best suited for you. The plan comes with many advanced hosting features like real-time automatic backups with one-click restores, SSH, SFTP, spam protection, top-notch server performance, unlimited bandwidth, priority live chat (annual plan only) and email support, and more.
The best part is you can import your entire site as-is by following our guide here:
If you have a website built with WordPress on another hosting provider, generally referred to as a self-hosted WordPress.org site, and want to move it to WordPress.com, use our Import Everything option. The Import Everything option will copy your existing self-hosted WordPress site to your new WordPress.com site, including your content, media, plugins, and the theme.
