Web site vs Blog
-
I don’t want to blog. I want a web site. How can I do this on Word Press.
I am not technical. Where do I begin?
Thanks, Penni -
Hi Penni. I typed “web site” on the WordPress.com support documents and this is what I found.

if you would like a website you would need to get a domain server i would reccomend godaddy.com because the are the most reliable server i have seen(my friends have websites). however if you are fresh to the internet revolution a blog would be your best bet. im brand new just made my blog and i can treat it like a website with no upstart costs that would be assoiated with creating a website and reserving your domain own domain name
have a great day penni!
p.s wordpress.org is where you would like to go to get your own website through wordpressenjoy :)

You can use WordPress.com to create a website — in fact, adding in the blog aspect of wordpress lets you have a “news” section, which is nice even for sites that don’t initially look like blogs.

Just tell everyone you have a web site and skip talking about a blog – simple simple and it works for me.
