Webg Hosting

Perhaps I am in the wrong forum, If I am, please shuffle my question off to the right one?
I am in the process of building a new Church web site using WP. We already have a site on the web http://www.stmargaretschurchifield.org which is hosted by another company and the hosting fee’s are paid up until January 2016. I have two questions :-
A) Once the new build with WP is completed, can I continue to use our existing web host company and if so, how would I be able to do uploads of the WP site;
B) If I decide to use WP for web hosting, can I bring our existing domain registered name with us and if so, how do I do that please?
Not being a fully clued up computer person, I am not sure which way to go or what to do in the case of the questions above so any help anyone can provide will be very much appreciated.
Regards,
RonB80

Hi RonB80,

You are in the right place if stmargaretsifield.wordpress.com is the new site that you are building.
A) Once the new build with WP is completed, can I continue to use our existing web host company and if so, how would I be able to do uploads of the WP site;
You won’t be able to use your existing web host. All WordPress.com sites are hosted on WordPress.com.
B) If I decide to use WP for web hosting, can I bring our existing domain registered name with us and if so, how do I do that please?
You won’t be able to transfer your domain to WordPress.com.
But you’ll be able to map your domain, so that you can use your existing domain with your new WordPress.com site.
Let me know if that helps, or if you have any other questions.
