Add topic to favorites
Ever since Webhooks were announced in the WordPress.com blog http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2010/04/14/hook-line-and-sinker/ I’ve been curious to know if anyone has developed a hosted webhook for use here. So far this is the only one I’ve found http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2010/04/14/hook-line-and-sinker/#comment-86001

Does anyone know of any others? Please post them here.

I am pretty tech minded but the web hooks still confuse me.. = (

It seems like there’s a lot of potential; the documentation is certainly interesting. Whatever webhook one writes has to be hosted outside of WordPress.com and fortunately there are sites linked to in the documentation that allow you to do just that.

I thought the suggestion in the comments for receiving a notification for when there’s a draft waiting for review was a great idea but don’t have a clue if anyone’s written or is offering a webhook for it.

That’s something I can definitely look into. If someone else beats me to it, so be it… I will still write my own app. I’ll let you know once I have something, maybe you can help me to beta test it?
