Webhooks with SSL Endpoints

  Has anyone successfully gotten webhooks to work with SSL endpoints? I do not receive an error or anything but WordPress does not seem to POST to an endpoint with SSL. Unfortunately, I do not have the option of using a plain-text connection so I’m hoping there is a trick that I’m not aware of. I did find this forum post but it doesn’t offer anything for a solution: Webhooks SSL support
