Webiste crashing other peoples browsers

  People having trouble accessing parts of site. Or when the browser tries to load pictures it crashes. Whats going on, never had this issue before.

  On My hair photos page.

  Seems to either crash on opening that or when actually clicking on a photo.

  Hi there,

  My peers and I have been taking a look at your page and the issue is that you have put on that page over 900 images. On the page itself, they are put in thumbnail format, so they are still going to load for most people, but they are still getting loaded in to the RAM of a viewer’s browser.

  But then if someone clicks on the image, the slideshow attempts to load (what we call the carousel) and so over 900 images at over 1 megabyte each tries to load up in the browser of a viewer. So in other words, about a Gigabyte of data is trying to open, and the browser cannot handle it.

  First we would recommend that you try optimizing your images for the web so that they don’t take up as much space. We have a help article which talks about just this subject right here:

  Second, you should probably divide your gallery into several smaller galleries so that they don’t all try to load into the same carousel. Perhaps have multiple pages for your show, or just have one page with several galleries on it.

  These two steps should solve the issues that you’re experiencing!
