WebM over Theora

Will WordPress.com support WebM ? E.g., under Options>Media, there is currently the option to use only “Free formats” for video — might not WebM support be added in the future ?
“Free formats Only display video in formats free of patent claims and other restrictions on distribution and playback.
Only display videos in free software formats
Ogg file container with Theora video and Vorbis audio” -
Please post the URL for the blog to which your refer when posting to this forum. You can post just about any video to your WordPress.com blog using VodPod’s “Post to WordPress” button. The “Post to WordPress” button will work on just about any site that offers Flash video with an embed code. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/vodpod/

Hello,
We made this change today, as posted here:
We’re aware of the emergence of WebM and will keep it in mind for future enhancements to the VideoPress platform. We were already creating Ogg versions of the videos uploaded using VideoPress, so it made sense to make this available now.
(It should be noted that this setting only applies to videos coming from VideoPress that are embedded on your blog, including videos from WordPress.tv.)
