The tablet seems to be running a little slower and the messages webpage not available is getting more frequent. There seems to be several customers with the problems “webpage not available” with different fixes. I don’t know what to do.

    Hi there,

I’m sorry for the trouble you’re having. Can you make a screenshot of that “webpage not available” error the next time you see it? You can upload screenshots to your Media Library under Media > Add New in your dashboard, or you can use an online service like Snaggy.

Can you please confirm what operating system you’re running on your tablet? Also, are you getting that error in the built-in browser on your tablet or are you using a different browser or the WordPress app?

    Hi,

I sometimes have trouble with “webpage not available” when I’m using my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 android tablet on the WordPress app. The 4 images that I’ve attached are over a period of time. It also occurs from time to time with other websites links.

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

Email attachments don’t come through in the support forums. Can you please upload your screenshots to your Media Library under Media > Add New in your dashboard, or use an online service like Snaggy?

    Thanks!

    Hello Rachel,

Done! I’ve caputered 5 images. The last image happened when I was doing the task you requested.

    Thanks!

Thanks for those screenshots! I just want to check a few things to help me continue investigating this for you:

    1. You mentioned that this happens on the WordPress app. Do you only get the error when using the app, or does it also happen if you visit links in your tablet’s browser without using the app?

    2. Does it only happen at WordPress.com or do you ever get errors like this on other sites on your tablet?

    3. What version of the WordPress app do you have installed on your tablet?

    Thanks!

I have WordPress version 2.9.1I sometimes get the error while using WP app, WordPress.com, and while accessing other links (not WP related sites).

While trying to reply to the you, two more errors came up. I’ll send them.

I’ve had to send a response via email as I got another 3 errors. Also I captured the errors, and tried to upload them as new media for you to look at. It will not allow me to choose the image file. Grrrrr!

  • Unknown's avatar

Tried log out and log back in. Still cannot choose a file in library new media.

    I have WordPress version 2.9.1

That sounds like you are indicating a WordPress.ORG install and not a WordPress.COM blog. May I please request that you confirm the URL of the site in question?

I use a shortlink http://wp.me/4b to access wordpress blog.

The problems occurs with both .org and .com sites.

The last message I received via email, I couldn’t open the forum.

    So the actual url is:
    http://jlo.wordpress.com/
and not the one linked to your username which is
    http://davelou3.wordpress.com/
nor the one provided by the software in the OP
    http://thehardingscruiseadventures2014.wordpress.com/

Thanks for providing the actual URL for Staff who will sort this with you.

I use a shortlink http://wp.me/4b to access wordpress blog.

I’m confused, I definitely do not use http://jlo.wordpress.com/

    Hi there,

You mentioned that you receive this error message with WordPress.org and WordPress.com sites, as well as other sites not using WordPress. The error you’re getting is usually related to losing your Wifi or data internet connection while loading a page. Since it’s happening with all kinds of sites, it’s likely due to either your device or your internet provider rather than WordPress.com. I’d recommend you check with your internet provider to see if they can help you get a more consistent internet connection with your tablet.

Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that.

    Hi Rachel,

I am 100% positive that I did not loose connection on the Wifi or data internet connection while loading a page.

As I previously mentioned; I snagged an error for WP to look at. When I go to “media, library, add new”, it does not go to choose a file. I can select it, but nothing happens. I’m currently working from my laptop because after I typed my response WP gave me a message that I would loose the data if I left the page. It wouldn’t let me submit my response. So I lost my response.

I really really want to resolve all these issues as I plan a 43 day trip and would love to blog it.

Thanks again for you assistance. Hope we can get this done.

    Hi there,

I can certainly keep investigating that media upload issue — just to make sure I’m looking in the right place, that happened on your tablet, right? Did you try to upload that file from within the WordPress app or were you uploading it from your tablet’s browser?

Also, have you had that same issue on your laptop or only on the tablet?

    Thanks!

    Hi Rachel,

I was thinking, can we check my WordPress settings, before giving up on the “webpage not available” error? Also, do you think I should uninstall and reinstall WordPress?

Answers to your questions; Yes, it’s happening on my tablet. Yes, I was/am using the WordPress app when this happens. This is only happening with my tablet. Would you like me to test my laptop?

Also still getting a message, that I will loose this message while trying to submit this.
