1) This is my first time on the WordPress site. I tried to create a website just now using wordpress and using a new domain name (www.abc.com), but while filling up the online form on your (WordPress) site, it created a site (‘my username’.wordpress.com) by default – based on my user name, and sent me a link via email to activate the default website.
2) Can i still create my new site (abc.com), which i wanted to create in the first place? I am willing to pay for the same as per the personal plan mentioned on your website. But, i need a site with only my domain name (i.e – http://www.abc.com), without the mention of ‘wordpress’ in the domain name / URL.
3) If i am able to get the abovementioned paid domain and create my site (www.abc.com) using wordpress, then can I use both the sites [i.e: http://www.abc.com (paid site) & http://www.username.wordpress.com (free site)] using the same email id/user name & password for both the sites?

Hi there,
What is the actual URL of the site you need help with? We can’t give you accurate advice based on an example URL like abc.com
You are posting here via a WordPress.com username account which you created yesterday. When you created this account, you also created a WordPress.com site, https://johnwilliamdunne.wordpress.com/.
If you have an existing domain you bought somewhere else that you want to use with this new WordPress.com site, you’ll need to upgrade the site to one of our paid plans in order to connect the domain to it.
If instead you have an existing site already at that domain, it means you’re most likely using the open source version of WordPress at another hosting provider. In other words, that site has no connection at all to the WordPress.com account you created with us.
WordPress.com is just one of many hosting providers for the open source WordPress software made by the community on WordPress.org.
