  It says I can get started without having decided on a domain name yet. However, when I choose my plan, it seems to choose a woman name for me. Is it really choosing it, or is this something I can change?

  On the domains step, select the free example.wordpress.com address that appears in the list.

  Any website must have an address in order for it to be accessible on the web, and we provide you with a free address like that which you can replace at any time with your own domain if you want to. This way you don’t need to commit to a domain at the moment that you create your site.

  Thank you for your response. I am brand new at this. I read where changing your domain name is very time consuming and complicated. Are you saying that with WordPress, it will be very simple, just a matter of words in a blank?

  Just choose a domain name you like, pay for it, and you’re good to go: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/register-domain/
