  I already have a website on wordpress platform and i lost the password if i tranfer to wordpress host will you be able to help me with my site

  Hi there,

  I’m afraid I don’t understand your question. Can you provide a bit more detail on what you’re trying to do?

  The forum you’re posting in now is for the hosting provider, WordPress.com. On WordPress.com, your password is tied to your username account, not to your site, so you can have multiple sites under one account, all using the same password.

  If you have a site using the open source version of WordPress at another host, the admin user password for that site is stored in the site’s database itself, on your hosting provider’s server. That password is unique to that one specific site, and we don’t have any access to or control over it from our end.

  If you move a site like that from one host to another, as long as you transfer the entire database the password should remain the same. But you’d need to chat with your hosting provider’s support directly about that.
