I might have made a terrible mistake !
I asked you for a refund for a fee because I have a new website with wix and I thought I didn’t need to pay for my old website annual fee.
I’ve just noticed that my new website has also disappeared from Google.
I wonder if you can help me to restore the new website or explain to me what happened

It looks like you’ve canceled and refunded the
alvaropetritoli.comdomain name, meaning you no longer own it.The good news is that we are still able to recover your domain, as it is currently in the Redemption period: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/domain-expiration/#redemption-period
A late renewal fee of $80 will be added to the regular price of renewal. This fee is charged by our domain partner and is not one which we can waive. That’s in addition to your annual domain renewal from us, so the total is going to be $98.
I have sent a payment request for the total of $98 to the email address on your account. Once the payment is sent, please reply here to let us know, and we will send a note to our domain partner regarding alvaropetritoli.com. This process only takes about 2-3 days start to finish.

However I can’t understand why I have to pay the late renewal charge when my domain registration expires on 1st February 2021.
I pay in advance every year .

This is because the domain was cancelled ahead of this date and the grace period has now passed.

Well in this case 80$ is not a renewal late fee because my payment should have covered me till the 1st February 2021.
This is a domain redemption fee – the charge required to redeem the domain.

Thank you for the clarification.
The staff members on this website replying to my enquiries have been helpful and efficient.
I paid the renewal and the domain redemption fee. I hope that my website domain is going to be reinstated.
If I had more competence and knowledge on the matter , I would look for a different domain provider .
Frankly I feel conned by wordpress and the domain partner . I paid every year in advance for a service which was supposed to last till the 1st February 2021. Today is the 20th January.
When I cancelled by mistake my domain , I specified that I was doing it because I had a new website . Somebody could have pointed out to me to double check my status and that having a new website didn’t mean having a different domain provider .
…The grace period , the domain partner , the late renewal fee, the redemption fee…whatever.
Once again, many thanks to the staff helping me with my enquiries.
