  Hi, I used to have a site with you hosted by siteground. I let it lapse but I am considering purchasing the hosting again. Would I keep my old login? would my old site still be available to me?

  Hello there,

  You must be using WordPress software from WordPress.org if your site is hosted on Siteground.

  The WordPress.com and WordPress.org sites are completely different: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org

  Your hosting provider may be able to assist since WordPress.com has no control over sites hosted elsewhere.

  Abby, I just want to add:

  – The old site likely would not be available, but you can check with SiteGround to be sure. It probably depends on how long it was lapsed. You might also check to see if you’ve downloaded backups. If you don’t have anything to work with, you might be able to at least copy and paste your pages from the Wayback Machine at https://archive.org/web/

  – And, if you’d like, you’d be more than welcome to host here with us. Paid sites get direct support. We have more details here:
