  I just bought a template and what to test it but asking for 300$ just to try the template is ubsurd

  It can be frustrating to find a theme you like and then realize it requires an upgrade to a higher plan.
  
  Some themes are designed for Business or Commerce sites, which is why they may only be available with the Business  or Commerce plans.

  If you’re just exploring options for now, you can definitely stick with a free theme. You can filter for free ones directly in your dashboard or use this link to browse: https://wordpress.com/themes/free/.
