  IS there any such thing as having the website for free or is there a cost?

  Hi –

  You can have multiple free domains under your user account here at WordPress.com. Free domains are those that look like this (your-blog-name.wordpress.com). All free domains end with .wordpress.com. If you want, there is the ability to upgrade your free domain to a custom domain. Custom domains eliminate the .wordpress part of the domain and would look like (your-blog-name.com OR your-blog-name.net, etc…)
