  i want to create a website. Is this the right place to do so? What is the “Blog”/

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  The good news is you have already created a website! Now comes the joy of creating and editing your content.
  If you look at the top of the page, there’s a gray bar with your name over on the right. If you hover your cursor over your name and then over your site’s name, another menu will pop out with ‘Dashboard’ at the top. Selecting that will take you to the Dashboard where you can edit everything about your site.

  support.wordpress.com has tons of good information to get you up to speed.

  A blog is really just another name for your web site.
