  I don’t want to run a blog, and don’t know how to get rid of those pages and get straight into setting up the website

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Welcome to WordPress.COM!

  Here’s the official support guide that might help you create a Website:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/using-wordpress-to-create-a-website/

  Once that’s done,
  1. Go to My Site(s) → Customize(Beside the Themes option) or just click here: https://wordpress.com/customize/. This will open the site Customizer.
  2. On the sidebar of the Customizer, on the sidebar click on Static Front Page.
  3. Make sure you have A static page option selected.
  4. From the Posts page dropdown menu select “–Select–” option. This will deselect the blog from your site.
  5. Finally, click Save & Publish.
