  Hello! To be honest, I bought my web address at Go Daddy so I wouldn’t have to transfer it. When setting up the site on their’s, the www part goes away. I feel it makes it looks like a shady website. Would my address with you be the full http://www.karenpurvisinteriors.com?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello,

  You will need to register a custom domain in order to drop the wordpress.com portion of your site’s current address. In order to do that you need to purchase an upgraded plan. The default is a Premium Plan, however, you can purchase the Personal Plan for $35.88. Once you have paid for the plan upgrade a a domain credit will be added to your account and you can use that to register your custom domain.

  Just to clarify, the www part of your website’s address will also go away with WordPress. This part of a website’s address does not have any actual function, so trend is to drop it. It does not indicate a shady website nor have any indication of security.
  You may be thinking of the http vs. https in the web address. The https does indicate a secure site where http is not secure. And you are correct that the GoDaddy hosting does not provide https for WordPress sites currently.
  The good news is the the WordPress hosted sites are all https!
