  I am currently with Homestead, find it difficult to build website, need to know if I have to transfer the domain or start over

  Yes.

  What domain are you using?

  There are 2 options to bring your domain with you to WordPress.com.

  1. map it: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
  2. transfer it: https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/

  Otherwise, you can simply get started on a free site. Here are some guides to help you get grounded:

  4. https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-more-views-and-traffic/

  You should be able to create a site export with your current provider. They’ll be able to provide the specific instructions. Once you have that file, you can import all of the content on to your new WordPress.com site. See here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/import/
