Hello
Yesterday I was receiving multiple emails regarding multiple IP addresses trying to login to my website with the username admin. (i.e. brute force attack). I managed to login to my website for a short while. I was trying to update the plugins and put the IPaddresses on the blacklist, but then my website stopped functioning.
I keep getting this on the screen:

Fatal error: Cannot use EAMannWPSessionObjectsOption as Option because the name is already in use in /home4/margrethe/public_html/wp-content/plugins/content-protector/src/sessions/OptionsHandler.php on line 15’I can’t see my website, nor can I login to it. How do I fix this?

You are using the self-hosted version of WordPress on the problematic site rather than WordPress.com.

Before you do that, I may suggest logging into your hosting panel, go to file manager and navigate to wp-content/plugins and rename the folder named “content-protector”. This should resolve the issue you are having.
