  I would like to see how my website would look if I change to wordpress. I don’t want to take a permanent step yet

  No problem, @amypatentpickscom. You’re welcome to stage your new site with us before pointing the domain here. That way your current site can stay “live” until your new one is ready.

  We have some guides here on how to import content from other platforms:

  Also, I do recommend getting a plan earlier on if you’ll need it, since they have other features you might find useful, including direct support:
  https://wordpress.com/plans

  Then just avoid using the domain options until you’re ready, and then you can map or transfer the domain.
