  Hi I created a free wordpress website and have a wordpress web address i.e. **********.wordpress.com. However I have recently registered a new domain name (with another domain resgistering service and wondered if I can change the website address on my wordpress site to the new domain name? If it is possible, can someone explain how I do it? Thanks

  To be able to use a Custom domain with your existing WordPress site you can do so by using the service Map your Existing Domain
  To be able to use the service, you need to be a Paid Plan user with WordPress.com
  Any paid plan can be used. You get a Domain credit with every paid plan, you can Map your Domain with it.
