  I just purchased a domain name through godaddy, because on your site it wouldn’t let me add the name I wanted. Now I need help continuing with my set-up, but I don’t know how to continue

  To setup a website on WordPress.com with an existing domain name you need to next do one or two things.

  Either, 1) Transfer the domain name to your WordPress.com account here
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/

  Or, 2) Map the existing domain to one of the paid plan options
