Website Address Confusion

  In Personal Settings it has a field called Website and a explanation stating that this will be the website address auto link when you leave a comment. Does this mean a comment in respect of other “wordpress” blogs? Just tried entering the website address on another companies blog and it stated that I did not own this address.

  If I change my username to an alternative username will this sort my problem. I don’t want to lose my blog but do not like the username which is also the website address.I clicked on change username but felt a bit intimidated about the options and warnings.

  For example my blog is wannabemum.wordpress.com. It bears no relation to my blog, so I want to change it without losing my blog.

  Any tech whizzes out there?

  What I mean is my blog is about sewing so want to change the website address. Is this possible? Also there is a field that states what public name will be displayed (Sassy T) when you leave comments.

  This has now stopped being displayed and instead of Sassy T my username “wannabemum” is being displayed. I hasve checked the respective field and it still has Sassy T as public name.to be displayed.

  Matter now resolved. was able to change the web address
