Website And Blog Problems

  My former website designer linked my godaddy account with wordpress. However, godaddy can not see that the two are connected. Also I have been unable to have my wordpress comments show on the posts readers are responding to nor have I been able to update my website .Do I need to cancel godaddy and only use wordpress?
