  Hi
  I have an existing blog but want to set up a new website for my new business which will need an ecommerce facility. The new business will have its own domain names and several pages. I think I can do all that through WordPress but am a little confused on whether I create that through WordPress.com or need to go to .Org.

  Whats the best process?

  Hello. You can have multiple Blogs under the same WordPress account. And, each one can be set up differently. One can be a free hosted blog like newyearreboot.wordpress.com while can purchase a domain for another, eg: debbysfitness.com.

  WordPress can be tweaked easily enough to be more of a business site, than a blog (use a static homepage, clean up the sidebar, etc.). I’m partial to WordPress and think it’s easier to have one account than many, so my suggestion would be to start another Blog on WordPress.com under your current account, and then upgrade it with a domain.

  For real ecommerce, you will need to pay for hosting and use software from WordPress.org. If you dont’ need a shopping cart or regular ecommerce features, you can use a WordPress.com blog and just use the Paypal Buy It Now button.
