    Hi taylorbjohnson,

Please realize that these are forums meant to be used for technical advise about using this WordPress.com blogging platform. If you have a question about how to make something work on your blog, then we are here to help.

When it comes to a critique, well, that is more of a philosophic or aesthetic question—things you need to choose for yourself.

If you are wondering how to increase your readership, or how to blog effectively, then here are a couple of suggestions:

(or use other tags to search these forums: multi-word-tags should have hyphens between-the-words)

One thing I’d say right up front:

If you would like me to photograph any events for you, I would be happy to do so

Your readers have no idea where you are if you don’t tell us!!! I doubt you’d come to my town to photograph my little garden party, right?

Also a static front page is not the best way to encourage new readers; search engines like new material, properly tagged in order to index your site. Read the other articles I linked to above…

And goodness! a photography site without a picture on the front page??? Why would a reader bother to look further then there are 1000s of photo-sites with compelling images right up front?

Anyway, those last 2 comments were my opinion (as a volunteer) only.

As a moderator, I’ll close this topic and allow you time to investigate the links for yourself.
