Website Backup

  I’m in the process of transferring web hosts from WordPress.com to DotEasy. I need to backup my website, maheekat.com. I would like to download the site files from wordpress.com, the current host. I can’t seem to find any instructions on how to do this. I found instructions for if you have a different host, you just connect via ftp and download the files. I can’t find any ftp info for WordPress (the host of my site files) so that I can connect and download the files. Thank you so much for your help.

  Hi there,

  WordPress.com does not provide FTP access as explained here:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/

  However, you can still use our export option to move your content to another host:

  Export Your Website’s Content

  Can you give that a try?
