website being redirected to ED drug site
-
Hi there. I noticed recently that my website shows up in searches the way it should, but when the link is clicked, it redirects to a site selling erectile dysfunction drugs. I’ve tried it with different browser and different search engines with the same result.
In doing a little looking around online, it seems like this happens fairly often with WordPress sites and somehow my page was hacked and there’s bad code somewhere on my site making it happen. I’m a little lost as what steps to take next. I called godaddy, who hosts the site, and they recommended I contact google to have the site recrawled. With the help of a more tech-savvy IT friend, we did that. Now the site shows up as ‘uncategorized – warning, your page is not mobile-friendly.’ Godaddy offered a security package for hundreds of dollars a year.
Does that seem like to solution? I have no idea what I’m dealing with. Thank you!
