Website being spoofed

    Hello, there is a website https://www.bagsbackpacksshop.com/ that is using your platform to spoof our website https://www.leagueoutfitters.com/. Can you provide any assistance to get them to stop this?

    Hello there,

    I understand that this situation can be confusing, so let me clarify things for you. There are actually three different types of “WordPress” at play here:

    1. The free, open-source WordPress software which powers websites.
    2. WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
    3. WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.

    Unfortunately, that site is not hosted here at WordPress.com, so there’s nothing we can do on our end. I understand that this can be frustrating, but to resolve this issue, you would need to find out who is hosting the site (you can use a site like Hosting Checker to look that up), then contact their hosting provider as the site likely violates their terms of service. You may also want to contact the domain registrar for that site as well.
