  1) how easily can I change my website/blog/domain name? 2) what do I need to do?
  3) do I need to set up a completely new domain?

  Yes, you can change your site address. I recommend following this support document to walk you through the steps: https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-site-address/

  Once you change your site address your old/original address will no longer be available for future use.

  If you are looking for a custom domain like “example.com”, you will need to purchase a plan. It will come with a custom domain. Purchase plans here: https://wordpress.com/plans
