Website build is gone
-
Last night I made a blog post, took a screen shot of the images and posted it with a link to social media. Today, my web address link is broken and I was unable to log in as well. After a password reset all of my website design and posts are gone and its a blank website. As if nothing has ever been edited or posted.
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
The only sites I see on your @jordanaugust24 WordPress.com account when I check on our end are listed here:
– jordanaugustphotography.wordpress.com
Checking in our activity logs, I can see this is a site that was set up 7 years ago, but has not been used since. Is it possible you set up this site on our platform as a test, but decided to move forward with another provider like GoDaddy, Bluehost, etc?
What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?
Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.

I do use Go daddy, but for me to edit and post to my blog I go through wordpress admin.
When I was told my link was broken on social. I was unable to log in and it told me the password was incorrect. I did a blog post last night and everything was fine.
Do you think this is a godaddy issue? I checked that account today and everything is active and paid in full etc.Thank you for your response.

Hi there,
Can you tell us the URL of your site?
To log into the admin dashboard on a site you have at GoDaddy, you’d go to the login page at {yourdomain}/wp-login.php, in other words, it’s a different login page than you use for your WordPress.com account. You’ll also be using a different username and password there than you do to log in with us.
If that login page gives you a wrong password error, you’ll need to follow the password reset instructions at https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/ to reset that, though GoDaddy support might also be able to help with this.

my biggest confusion is why 2 days ago when I went to jordanaugustphotography.com/admin and could log in and everything was normal, and now I have an error.
How can I post a screen shot to these replays?

Thanks for the URL.
If I try to visit https://jordanaugustphotography.com/ it gives a 404 error, indicating the page that domain is trying to go to doesn’t exist. So this is an issue on GoDaddy’s end – it appears your site has been taken completely offline. Please contact them for more information, and for help fixing this.
But we don’t have any information about that site, and no way to help with this, as your site isn’t hosted on our servers. So we don’t have any access to or control over it.
The WordPress you’re using on that site is the open source software made by the community on WordPress.org. We, WordPress.com, on the other hand, is a hosting provider for that software, like GoDaddy, and your site is hosted with them, not with us :)

Ok , thank you so much. Im not seeing any issues on the go daddy end but I will now go forward with questions towards them.
Thank you to everyone for all the information. I am not a web design guy and barely got this site up years ago. So when the littlest of things happen , I scramble and get very overwhelmed to say the least.
THANK YOU!
– Ill probably be back with more questions and I apologize in advance

Glad we could help :)

For questions about https://jordanaugustphotography.com/ it would be best if you asked in the WordPress.org forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
instead. Those are the people who make the version of WordPress you’re using for that site, so they have way more experience with the types of issues you’d encounter on that site than we have here on WordPress.com :)You’re still welcome to ask here and we’ll try to point you in the right direction, but our ability to help with sites that aren’t hosted with us are very limited.
