  I have a domain with GoDaddy, I just need to build a simple site and have it hosted. Either with Godaddy or another webhost.

  Hi sherisears,

  There are two types of WordPress to choose from:

  • WordPress.com: where the site is created and hosted here on WordPress.com.
  • WordPress.org: where WordPress.org software is installed on a third party host like GoDaddy.

  If you want to create and host a site on WordPress.com, the domain purchased through GoDaddy can be mapped or transferred to us.
