Website cannot be found
-
hi there,
I made a WP-website, which I saw already under this adress:
https://artsevendotcom.wordpress.com/…Now, when I go to this adress, I automatically get redirected to my domain “www.art-seven.com”, which is hosted by world4you. Since this redirection I can get into my wordpress site and can change things, but I can’t see how it looks, because the website cannot be found anymore?
Thanks in advance and best regards
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Sorry but we cannot help you as we do not provide support for any blogs that are not hosted by WordPress.COM.WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.
Resetting your WordPress.ORG password http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page -

Thank you for your quick answer! Dont I have a wordpress.com-blog, when it was online on artsevendotcom.wordpress.COM?

Is what you are trying to do domain mapping from http://artsevendotcom.wordpress.COM to http://www.art-seven.com?
Although art-seven.com has been registered, it is not using WordPress.com nameservers. If your domain is mapped to a self-hosted site, then your configuration may be fine as currently set up.
However, if you wish to host your site at WordPress.com, you will need to update your nameservers as outlined below.
WordPress.com does not accept domain transfers but mapping an existing domain is possible. Domain mapping of an existing domain URL that you already own and purchased elsewhere is not done free of charge. You will have to renew the domain name purchase where you made it and the domain mapping purchase here every year.
Mapping an existing domain costs $13. annually. In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from and it does not matter what that underlying .wordpress.com URL is. It does not have to match the domain URL. If you have registered a .wordpress.com blog you log in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchase a domain name by purchasing an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade for the blog.
Important Notes Before Upgrading http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#important-notes-before-upgrading
In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from, and the domain name you desire must be available for purchase, or you must already own the domain URL.
You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard at > Store > My Upgrades to purchase upgrades for the blog.
If you own a domain then see here for mapping an existing domain that you already own http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades is where you do the primary blog set up knowing it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

I have exactly made the steps, which stand on this site:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/Therefore I have upgadet my account and now I also have “art-seven.com Domain mapping”. Then I changed the name servers at my registrar to:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMAs I said before, my blog was – before I made these chances – already online at this adress:
https://artsevendotcom.wordpress.com/Two or three hours after I made these nameserver-changes there was this automatically redirection, which is now. And since then I can’t see the blog any more.

This was yesterday. Meanwhile I have changed teh name servers at my registrar again – because it does not seemed to work. But I still cant see my blog. Should I try it again and change the name servers again?
I still have this domain mapping package for art-seven.com -
Two or three hours after I made these nameserver-changes there was this automatically redirection, which is now. And since then I can’t see the blog any more.
It can take as long as 72 hours for DNS changes to become widely available. If you’re still not seeing your site loading at http://art-seven.com/ and you have done the correct set up, then please wait a few more hours, clear your browser cache, and try again.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache-and-cookiesIt is not unusual for the last place to flush their DNS caches to be your own ISP. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during this stage is to be patient.

And yes, what I am trying to do is domain mapping from http://artsevendotcom.wordpress.COM to http://www.art-seven.com.

Thank you! I have subscribed this topic.
I have changed the name servers at my registrar again to:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMAnd the domain mapping at my wordpress blog is also active to art-seven.com.
I hope, it will work now…

http://art-seven.com/ – loads fine for me to a WordPress.COM site – lots of art – some paint cans that are colorful
Nameservers Validated!
Congratulations! The nameservers appear to be set up correctly for art-seven.com.
