Website changed appearance overnight?

    My work webpage suddenly changed appearance overnight: it’s the same content, but the theme appears broken. I didn’t do any changes yesterday, not even anything as minor as adding a new picture to our slideshow. I do have a backup, so that’s an option, but if I don’t know what’s caused this then it could happen again. At first I thought the browser was loading a mobile version of the site, but the webpage is similarly broken on mobile devices. I updated all plugins and themes, but the new appearance was the same. Thoughts? Also, is there a way to track changes to a website without using a plugin?

    Assuming the site was hosted on WordPress.com, it sounds like your subscription plan lapsed, and (assuming you used it) the premium theme was removed.

    If this is a self-hosted WordPress site (not hosted on WordPress.com), you will want to contact your hosting provider for more help troubleshooting the issue.

    💡 Remember that we can only help with WordPress sites hosted on WordPress.com.

    Also, is there a way to track changes to a website without using a plugin?
