Website code

How can I access the code to the website theme I chose to use? I am trying to change the colour that appears when I hover over one of my menu options (the colour is orange and I want it to be pink or have no colour). There was nothing I could find in the customization of the theme so I’m hoping I can play around with the coding. Thanks in advance.

  • Hi @queenslicebeauty,

The source code to themes on WordPress.com isn’t something that can be directly accessed. But you can use Custom CSS to edit the appearance of your site, or in your case, the color of your menu options.
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css/
However, this is a feature limited to users with a Premium or Business Plan.

  • Thanks for chiming in, pauloeaquino!

queenslicebeauty – if you’re not ready to upgrade, I wanted to mention that you can also choose from a different colour scheme by going into the Customizer‘s Colors & Backgrounds panel. Click “Palettes” Colinear comes with six free colour palettes you might want to peek at.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
