Website colours look completely different on Samsung Browser
-
Haven’t found much online, just looking for some suggestions for if there’s any way to fix this issue. On my, and a friend’s, Samsung device, the colours of my website look incredibly different, darker & there’s grey areas where normally there’d be transparent borders, or occasionally spacer blocks. You can see comparison images of what the website is supposed to look like, versus what it looks like on the Samsung Browser, below. Bare in mind that this only occurs on Samsung’s Dark Mode, as the website looks completely normal otherwise.

I’m incredibly new to both WordPress & Samsung phones in general, and was wondering if anyone had any way to fix this issue? Bare in mind the two different phones this has been happening on are completely different models, though whilst relatively newer I’m not entirely sure of their specifics. The block I’m using for posts is the PostX Post Grid from the plugin of the same name (https://wordpress.org/plugins/ultimate-post/). Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I wasn’t able to check the site setup, as WordPress.com Log In is not active, but it sounds like the styles are set by the plugin PostX Post Grid. So, most likely, the issue is coming from the plugin.
Although this plugin is not developed by us at WordPress.com, I found it allows you to set specific styles for Dark Mode. I wonder if you have already tried setting those up?Do you also notice the issue when testing with the built-in blocks that are default to WordPress sites?
Thank you for helping us help you.
We will be looking forward to your reply. -
I never really use the darkmode setting on Samsung, and so I’ve since realised this seems to happen on all websites, including ones like LEGO.com itself.
That, and the fact that ALL blocks change colour, not just PostX ones, suggests that PostX isn’t the issue. I haven’t seemed to be able to change anything with the PostX darkmode styles, is there a way to change website colours on specific browsers, so that I could make the colours of the website similar to being inverted on Samsung Internet’s darkmode, but the same on every other browser/colour scheme? Many thanks.

Thank you for getting back to me.
As PostX is a third-party plugin, the best thing to do is to reach out to them, as I could not locate such settings in the plugin guides.
If the team from PostX shares anything that we at WordPress.com can assist with, please don’t hesitate to let us know. We’ll be happy to help.
