    Hello – I had a website (not this one) that was designed on WP. I recently re-designed it on Wix and had everything redirected there. After that was done, I was no longer able to log into WP. It’s as if my account never existed. I know my log in credentials are accurate but it rejects it saying that there is no account under that name etc. There has to be some way to get back in?? I was only testing it out and I still have some info in my account that I need. PLEASE HELP!!

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi @thegrittyroad,

    You can fill out the Account Recovery Form with the details you do have.

    Here is some information on the Account Recovery Form:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/#AccountRecoveryForm

    Here is the form to fill out:
    https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

    Please reply again if you are still having troubles and then we can add a modlook tag to this post.

    I wish you the best!

    Hi there,

    May I ask you the domain name of your website or a blog which you are asking question about?

    If your site is connected with the WordPress.com account then login and check if it shows you in ”My Sites” section.

    @aandrewsmills

    Thank you for your reply.

    Unfortunately I’ve tried that route with no success. I don’t have any of the requested proof of ownership aside from some old emails and when I do the Forgot Password, it again says that no account exists under that email and username.

    Hello! The website is http://www.navigatepro.com
    It is currently operating via Wix.

    The issue is that I can’t even log back into WP with my log in credentials. It’s as if I don’t have an account anymore. Everything I designed on WP is gone.

    @thegrittyroad

    Can you login to your WordPress.com account and on the top left hand side of the page you’ll find the option which says “My Sites” click on that and check whether you are able to find your site.

    Let me know if this helps.

    Hi there,

    The site, navigatepro.com, has never been connected to WordPress.com. You had a self-hosted site using the WordPress.org software at that domain, and that site was hosted with endurance.com, based on the historic IP address for that domain:

    http://research.dnstrails.com/tools/lookup.htm?domain=navigatepro.com&date=

    You won’t be able to log into WordPress.com using the credentials you had set up for a self-hosted site. Self-hosted sites are not connected to our platform in any way, and the admin profile you had on that site has nothing to do with your WordPress.com username account.

    The way self-hosted sites work, the moment you disconnect your domain from the site, the site, including the dashboard, is no longer accessible, unless your hosting provider also gives a staging URL. If you still need any content that used to be on that site, you’ll either need to connect a new domain to it, or you’ll need to ask endurance.com for a database dump, provided they still have your site’s files on their servers.

    We are not able to help you with this, as your site was never on our servers and we don’t have any access to your site’s files.
