  I’m looking to move a website from shopify to wordpress at some point Soon. My question is can i still set it up and work on the webstite and get it ready to go public with little to no fees until it launches?

  Great to hear you’re considering WordPress.com for your site! To answer your question, WordPress.com fees occur when you purchase a plan (before you start building your site), not when the site launches. So, depending on what features you want to integrate into your site will determine how much you will/won’t have to pay.

  There are a few ways to create an online store using WordPress.com. One of them would be to use the Business plan with the WooCommerce plugin. But take a look at the following page and check out the features provided with each plan first before you make a decision.
