Website deleted – why?

  Hi there,
  I had a registered WordPress site (rhea collections.com) but it appears to have been deleted. What happened? I never received any emails.

  Can you please advise if this is on WordPress’ end or Domain provider.

  Hi there, I’ve tagged this thread for Staff assistance. Thanks for your patience while they get back to you.

  In the meantime, have you checked with your domain registrar to see if your domain is active? Is it possible you let your upgrade plan here on WordPressdotcom lapse? What was the underlying WordPressdotcom website that the domain was connected to?

  If your domain is still active and it’s your upgrade plan that needs to be renewed, you should see it in the Manage Purchases section of your account. https://wordpress.com/me/purchases

  Hi Ailene,

  rheacollections.com was connected to consumedbywander.wordpress.com with domain mapping but this upgrade expired back in October 2018.

  When domain mapping expired, your site reverted back to its free address (consumedbywander.wordpress.com) — all of the content and media is still available from there and hasn’t been deleted.

  If you wish to continue mapping this domain, please purchase a new upgrade with these steps:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  It’s now a feature of paid plans and you can choose between Personal, Premium or Business. Add the plan to the cart first and then choose the domain mapping option.

  I never received any emails.

  We sent several renewal reminders to the email address on your Account Settings page. If you didn’t receive them, it would be worth checking that information is current.
