  Hi, I’ve used WordPress before and have never run into this problem. Whenever I go to my dashboard, then click design editor, my website comes up blank and there is no option to edit anything.

  It might be possible that a plugin or a theme is causing this issue.

  I would advise you to disable any plugins you might have and if it works, try enabling the plugins one by one to see which one could possibly cause the issue.

  I can also suggest clearing the cache and cookies from your browser as that sometimes can also be the case.

  Hi there,

  What is the URL of the site you’re working on? And on what page exactly is this happening? We don’t have anything on WordPress.com called a design editor. Are you perhaps referring to the Customizer under Appearance ->Customize?

  If the Customizer is loading blank, try clearing your browser cache, and also see if it works if you use a different browser.

  These forums are for free sites hosted on WordPress.com. Free WordPress.com users cannot use either plugin or third party themes, so recommending someone try disabling plugins is not a helpful suggestion. And should someone with a self-hosted WordPress site post here, it’s better to refer them to the WordPress.org forums instead.
