Website Design

I am creating my website and I used the Adventurer theme. Now that I have published my website there are two areas that only show up when it’s published and not when I am editing. One has a ‘donate’ text box that I cannot remove and then on the blog posts there is an area that shows ‘My recent trips’. I am wondering how to remove these

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: No
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi! Just to check, is the ‘Donate’ button the same as the one shown in the Adventurer theme demo at https://adventurerdemo.wordpress.com/ ?

If so, that one is part of the ‘header’ template part for Adventurer, and it can be changed within the Site Editor (located at Appearance > Editor). We have a general guide for editing template parts that you may find useful.

Both this and the ‘latest stories’ section on blog posts are located within the Site Editor, in fact. For the ‘latest stories’ section, you’ll want to go to Appearance > Editor to open the Site Editor, and then ensure that you’re editing the template called ‘Single’ – it’s the one which applies to blog posts. We actually have a guide to editing the Single template too.

I hope that helps, if you do have any other questions let us know!
