Website disappeared

    Similar issue. Site (skipstravels.com active since 2013) simply disappeared and I am unable to reach a human to walk me through resolution (in common English (not jargon). Pop-ups in the past says I need JetPak but would not let me install with PHP or some such jargon. I originally signed on with WP because of its simplicity. Seems like that’s no longer an option. Help. Skip

    To clarify before we start, there are three different “WordPress” at play here:

    1. The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
    2. WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
    3. WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.

    Your site is not hosted with us and as such, we’re limited to what we can help with and advise.

    Looking at your site’s domain settings, your site is using iPage nameservers, so since they’re your hosting provider – they’re the ones you would need to contact in order to get help with your website.

    Please pardon my innocent inquiry. I had set-up my blog using WP many years ago and had made various edits over the years using WP. Over time, I somehow lost my ability make edits or additional input via WP and suddenly lost my site within the past two weeks and am simply trying to figure out what happened..and have found very little help that speaks English other than tech jargon which are tough to understand to this old timer.
    If I can ever figure out how to reach someone at iPage (my host?) maybe they might be more understanding (and helpful).
