website disappeared

    I built a wordpress website off of bluehost, and I forgot to assign it to a domain. Bluehost said they can do a restore back to a certain date. Is there anything you guys can do to help me out? Thanks

    Hi there,

    I’m afraid we’re not able to help, as your site is not hosted on our servers, but on Bluehost’s.

    WordPress.com is a hosting company, like Bluehost, and not the same thing as the WordPress software you’re using on your site.

    Support for that software is provided by the WordPress.org community at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/, but they also won’t be able to help you in this case, as this is not a software issue. It’s a hosting issue.

    If Bluehost support said they’re able to restore a site backup for you, then that’s your best option. Please continue working with their support on this, as they’re the only people able to help you in this case.
