Website disappeared after fatal plug in error
-
Hello there, I have received an email to say that a fatal error was detected on my site from a plugin. When I tried to access the site there’s nothing there, just a blank screen. I’ve logged in through the recovery mode link. The plugin causing the issue was revolution slider. I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled but when I try to activate I get the same fatal error:
Warning: ‘continue’ targeting switch is equivalent to ‘break’. Did you mean to use ‘continue 2’? in /home4/claudiy1/public_html/wp-content/plugins/revslider/includes/operations.class.php on line 2364

I’ve deleted the plugin altogether and this hasn’t resolved the issue either, can someone please advise as I have no idea what to do. Thank you

Hi, @claudiaeatscake
From your mention of Revolution Slider, it looks like your site is on the self-hosted WordPress.org instead of WordPress.com which we support here. But just to be sure, can you let us know your site address?
If your site is on WordPress.org, I would suggest going to https://wordpress.org/support/ or https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ instead for assistance with your issue.

Hi There, ah ok, my login details are associated to wordpress.com that’s why I thought this was the correct place sorry. The website is http://www.claudiaeatscake.com

claudiaeatscake.com is definitely a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org). Hi,
As noted above, we’re only able to provide support for WordPress websites that are hosted by us here at WordPress.com. For help with a WordPress site hosted elsewhere you’ll need to ask over at the WordPress.org forums:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
Depending on the level of support that is included with your hosting plan, your web host’s support team may also be able to assist. It looks like your web host is BlueHost.
If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and the open-source WordPress software you can read this article:
