website disappeared from my dashboard
-
I went to go log into my website admin dashboard. Kept giving me errors, wrong password. locked me out of my IP for to many attempts, I sent a password reset request. Never got the e-mail. came back tried to log in again with my username (what I used to log into wordpress.com with) and it let me right into wordpress.com… i clicked switch sites cuz it was put on a different website than the one i was trying to get into. When it pulled up my websites, the one I was working on wasn’t on the list at all. completely gone. The site is still accessible to users right now. I don’t see any immediate changes. I still have control of the DNS hosting through cloudflare, and it is still attached to my AWS lightsail instance with the database and everything. I’m making snapshots and such right now. But I want to make sure it gets back to me. quickly. and nothing gets messed up.

Hi there,
Your sites are not hosted on WordPress.com, so we don’t have any control at all over your admin user login credentials on either site. If you’re not receiving the password reset email for your site, your other option is to change the password directly in the database instead:
https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/
The sites are connected to your WordPress.com account via the Jetpack plugin, but your WordPress.com username account, and your admin user account on the site are two completely different accounts.
You don’t see the site’s data here on WordPress.com, because it looks like the Jetpack connection might be broken as well – the connection it timing out – and I’m also getting a timeout if I try to visit that IP you indicated in my browser.
Once whatever is causing these timeouts is fixed, the Jetpack connection should start working again, and you’ll be able to access the site’s data from your WordPress.com account. But the actual issue needs to be fixed on either your server, or in WP-Admin, and as we control neither of those, we’re not able to help in this case.
I suggest you contact your hosting provider directly to help you look into this. Alternatively you can ask for help with your version of WordPress in the WordPress.org community forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

I host the site myself on AWS. So if that is the case I’ll look into it and see what might be the problem. I may have turned off some of the resources necessary for it to properly work, I didn’t think about that really because the stuff was outside of the lightsail console.
Ok well thank you very much. That gives me some clarity and a starting point at least. and yea I guess the website is still attached to my account it just doesn’t show up under “manage blogs” or allow me access lol. so i must have broken something.
