Website doesn’t exist error

    Hi, I have my hosting with WordPress and my website has been running without issue for a number of years. I’ve just discovered that when I go to my URL – http://www.scaleyoursalon.com – I get an error message saying that my website doesn’t exist. My domain registrar has confirmed that my domain name is ok. Can you please advise why my site is down and how to reactivate it? Thanks

    Just to clarify, are you using WordPress.org or WordPress.com?

    They are 2 totally different sites.

    Your domain used to be connected to a site on WordPress.com on our Business Plan. But that plan expired on 28 May, and the plan, domain connection upgrade, and all plugins installed on your site were subsequently removed.

    To get your site back to how it was, please go to Upgrades ->Plans and upgrade to the Pro plan (this plan has recently replaced Business), and then go to Upgrades ->Domains to add a new domain connection upgrade to reconnect your domain.

    Once you’ve done that, please contact live chat support at https://wordpress.com/help/contact so our team can help you restore a backup of your site from before the plan expired, to restore the theme, plugins and setting you had before.

    Hi there,
    Thank you for the information regarding how to upgrade my account. I will do this asap. However, before I can proceed could you please confirm I am upgrading the correct account? I seem to have two different accounts and the web design who created my website can not remember which account she used and as everything is deleted from my view, I’m unable to work out which one needs upgrading to have my website back up and running ASAP

    The amandafife account you’er using to post here is the account that owns the site, launchyoursalon.wordpress.com, and used to own the Business Plan and domain connection upgrade on that site, so this is the correct account, yes.

    Keep in mind your account has two sites, launchyoursalon.wordpress.com and launchyoursaloncom.wordpress.com. The first one is the one with your content, and that used to have the upgrade. So just make sure you have the right one selected when adding the upgrade :)

    The scaleyoursalon account isn’t even a user on this site, so you definitely don’t want that one :)

    I’ve merged the new thread you created today into the one from yesterday, as it’s still regarding the same issue. Please continue replying in this thread, rather than creating a new one, if you have further questions about this.
