  Hello,

  i recently created a blog on wordpress. Can i get the domain changed from ‘exampleblog.wordpress.com’ to ‘example.wordpress.com’ ? (The ‘example’ is just an placeholder for my real website name) I want this change to keep a consitant name on all my social media/websites. Thanks, Leo

  We cannot edit any blog URLs. If you want to change the .wordpress.com blog address ie. the URL starting with http:// then you must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to do that and the URL you desire must be available. If so, then you can change the URL by using the guide http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/ Then all the content will be the same only the URLs will change and nothing else.

  Changing a URL is meant to be a permanent and irreversible act. No changed or deleted blog URLs are recycled here, regardless of who registered and deleted them and the only exceptions are made are for URLs that were deleted 2 or more years ago

  The authors have deleted this site.

  Deleted wordpress.COM blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and the only exceptions are made are for URLs that were deleted 2 or more years ago. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

  You can register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

  Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.

  Thank you for the quick replies. I deleted the domain “leowhyart.wordpress.com” by accident a few weeks ago. So i think it cant be recovered regarding to your answer.

  Correct. Now you have to wait for 2 years as unfortunately, you did not heed the warnings. Deleting a wordpress.com site requires ignoring multiple warnings that doing so is a permanent action and even clicking a link sent to you by email to actually delete the site.
