Website & Domain

I currently have a website and domain with GoDaddy. I’d like better understanding of benefits of switching to WordPress.

I have two separate companies I’ve experienced difficulties operating them both from Godaddy platform, so I’m exploring other options.

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

It sounds like you’re using GoDaddy’s own website builder at the moment, correct?

Can you tell us a bit about what you’re looking for? If we know what your goal is with the site, and what kind of features you’re looking for, we’ll be better able to answer your questions here :)

Generally, though, you can use WordPress, that is, the open source software, while still hosting your site with GoDaddy. So if you’re happy with their hosting, but would just like the flexibility of the WordPress CMS, that’s an option for you.

You can also transfer your hosting to us entirely. We have several paid plans depending on which features you need, and all our annual plans include live chat support. WordPress.com also makes it very easy to manage multiple WordPress sites from a single account, allowing you to simply switch between sites whenever you want.

Other benefits we have over traditional hosting is stuff like security, spam protection, and software updates are included, even on our free plan. We also have no bandwidth limitations, so you can never reach a maximum visitors cap on your site, and all sites have unlimited disc space, so there’s no limit on the number of posts/pages you can add to a site.

I hope this starts to help, but once we have a better idea of what you’re looking for, we can get into more detail here :)
