Website Domain
-
I have a question about my website domain. I completed a transfer of my domain to WordPress recently, but decided to cancel it in order to purchase a paid plan and my domain again. My account is now saying that my domain is already mapped to my account, so it will not allow me to purchase my domain. Is this something that I need to give time to allow the time to re-open?
Thank you.

Hello Mike!
To get you the best answer, I will flag your post for staff attention by adding a modlook tag.
Friendly FYI: on a paid plan, you also have access to live support chat as another way of seeking help from staff.

Hi there,
Are you speaking of mikeshukis.com?
At the moment that domain is in redemption. Normally that would mean we need to pay the domain registry $80 to get it back for you, but luckily they’re currently waiving that fee to help people and businesses affected by the pandemic to not lose their domains.
So go ahead and add the plan you want from My SIte ->Plans, and let us know here once you’ve done that, and we can restore the domain for you.
Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again here or somewhere else in future.

Thanks. I’ve redeemed your domain and restored it to your account, so you’ll be able to use it again.
